When asked, 81% of guests say the thing they remember most about a wedding was the entertainment. In a survey conducted by USA Today, Brides say their highest priority is their gown, and then the reception site and caterer. Reception entertainment was low on their list of priorities. However, what's revealing is that one week after their reception, 78% of these same Brides say they wish they had made entertainment their highest priority.
In a post reception survey of over 1,000 brides done by The Knot, most said they had spent around 15% of their overall budget on entertainment. They also said if they could do it all over again, they would have spent more on their DJ and hired a better company that would have performed the way they expected.
In an issue of Brides magazine, 65% of all couples that chose a band to entertain at their wedding, said if they had a chance to do it again they would have chosen a DJ.
